Southern Navigators is the orienteering club for West Surrey, North East Hampshire and South East Berkshire. Our members come from across the area, including Aldershot, Alton, Bagshot, Bordon, Byfleet, Camberley, Crowthorne, Farnborough, Farnham, Frimley and Woking.
With around 250 members, we welcome everyone from complete beginners and families to experienced competitors. Several of our elite members have represented their country, but you do not need any previous experience to join us and enjoy orienteering.
Southern Navigators is one of Britain’s longest-established orienteering clubs. The club was founded in 1965 by Chris Brasher and John Disley, two of the leading figures in the development of British orienteering. In recognition of our work with junior members, we achieved Clubmark status in 2007 and renewed it in 2012.
We organise events for a wide range of ages and abilities, maintain the permanent orienteering course at Alice Holt Forest, and hold social activities throughout the year. Maps for the Alice Holt course are available from the visitor centre.
Whether you want to explore the outdoors, learn new skills, meet friendly people or compete at the highest level, you will find a place at Southern Navigators.
